This is a new site for us as of 2003. It is designed to separate our
HushVote white box
voting implementation from generic discussions about white
box principles. It also allows us to identify vendors with
promising systems that are different from our own.
Why would we put up a new site to link to competitors?
Our HushVote partner companies are primarily service companies offering
an understanding of the principles of white box voting along
with various facilities that aid in holding actual elections. It
is entirely possible that we would work with other companies that
might be considered as competitors to provide services for an
election.
At the present time, we view our competition as being either
traditional voting methods or the entirely different 'Black Box Voting'
systems.
We feel that an informed electorate and informed administrators will
prefer white box voting over black box voting once they understand
the issues involved. Once that happens, we feel that our services
are excellent enough to compete on a level playing field. Implementing
a workable white box voting system is still not easy, even if we
provide details of our implementations. Furthermore, we feel it is a
requirement of any serious contender to traditional election methods
that the method be fully transparent and that means the details must
be released anyway.
